In-home Carers are very professional and dedicated child care workers.
Carers are recruited and trained by the IHCSP (In-home Childcare Service Provider) using specific criteria.
Carers are independent contractors (self employed) therefore responsible for their own taxation and superannuation. For further information please visit:

Carers:
- Earn and income caring for children in the child's own home.
- Are self employed.
- Meet essential requirements.
- Hold current Public Liability Insurance
- Hold current First Aid Certificate
- Hold current ABN
- Are warm, energetic and enjoy working with children.
- Are available to work flexible hours.
- Are willing to participate in ongoing carer training,
- Want to be part of a team of child care workers providing a valuable community service.
- Are 18 years of age or over.
Part of the carer’s role is to provide the children with a variety of age appropriate activities that encourage the development of life skills. Staff of the In-home Childcare Service Provider will visit the Carer in the family home to regularly assess the standard of care and to support the carer and children.
In-home Carers are NOT expected to perform household duties other than those associated with the care of the children.
